Meddy Health LLC
Terms of Use
Last updated: October 17, 2026
Please read Section 17 carefully. It requires you and Meddy to resolve most disputes through individual arbitration instead of in court, and it waives your right to bring or join a class action. You can opt out of arbitration within 30 days, as Section 17 explains.
1. Who we are and agreement to these terms
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Meddy Health LLC (“Meddy,” “we,” “us”), a New York limited liability company. They govern your use of the website getmeddyhealth.com, the Meddy mobile app, and the related services Meddy provides (together, the “Services”).
Meddy and the medical practice. Meddy owns and operates the Meddy brand, website, app, and technology, and provides administrative services, such as scheduling and patient communications, to medical practices. Meddy does not practice medicine and does not provide medical care or advice. All medical services offered through Meddy are provided by Sameer Aggarwal Medical PLLC (“the Practice”) and its licensed clinicians. Meddy Health LLC and the Practice are both owned by Dr. Sameer Aggarwal.
Other terms that apply. If you become a patient, your membership, fees, and medical care are governed by the Practice’s Patient Terms of Service, Telehealth Informed Consent, and Notice of Privacy Practices. If these Terms conflict with those documents on any matter involving your medical care, membership, fees, or medical records, those documents control. Our Privacy Policy explains how Meddy handles information that is not part of your medical care.
You accept these Terms by checking “I agree” when you book a consultation or create an account. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old to use the Services.
- Medical services are currently available only to people who are physically located in New York at the time of each consultation and visit. You may be asked to confirm your location when you book and at the start of each visit.
- You agree to give accurate, current, and complete information, and to keep it updated.
3. Not medical advice; not for emergencies
Not for emergencies. The Services are not for medical emergencies or urgent care. If you have a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988. Do not use messages, the app, or our phone line for urgent concerns.
General content is not medical advice. Articles, educational materials, and other general content on the website and app are for information only. They are not medical advice for your situation and do not replace care from a licensed clinician. Medical advice is given only by the Practice’s clinicians as part of your care.
App features. Tracking, scores, trends, and analyses in the app are informational tools. They support, but do not replace, a clinician’s judgment, and readings from consumer devices may be inaccurate.
4. Free consultations
A free consultation is a video visit with a licensed clinician of the Practice. It is a medical service provided by the Practice, not by Meddy. Meddy schedules it on the Practice’s behalf and shares the information you provide, such as your contact details and health goals, with the Practice so it can prepare for your visit.
Before your consultation, you will be asked to accept the Practice’s Telehealth Informed Consent and to acknowledge its Notice of Privacy Practices. Health information you share when you request a consultation is protected health information of the Practice from the moment you share it, and is covered by that Notice.
A free consultation does not require you to become a member, and the Practice’s clinician decides what care, if any, is appropriate for you. No provider-patient relationship ever exists between you and Meddy.
5. Accounts and security
- Your account is for you only. Do not create an account for someone else or share your account.
- Keep your login credentials private and use the security features we offer, such as multi-factor authentication.
- Tell us right away at support@getmeddyhealth.com if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
- You are responsible for activity under your account unless it results from our failure to protect it.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- give false identity, location, or health information, or impersonate anyone;
- access or try to access another person’s account or information;
- interfere with, overload, or try to bypass the security of the Services;
- copy, scrape, reverse engineer, or resell any part of the Services, except as the law allows;
- use the Services to send spam, malware, or unlawful, abusive, or harassing content, including to Meddy staff, the Practice’s clinicians, or our automated assistant; or
- use the Services for any unlawful purpose.
We may suspend or restrict access if we reasonably believe you have violated this section. If you are a patient, we will tell the Practice so it can make sure your care is not interrupted.
7. Calls, texts, and email
Phone calls. Calls to 516-925-3997 may be answered by Meddy’s automated assistant, which uses artificial intelligence. It will tell you at the start of each call that you are speaking with an automated assistant and that the call is recorded and transcribed. By continuing the call, you agree to the recording and transcription. The assistant helps with scheduling, account, and other administrative questions, and sends clinical questions to the Practice’s clinicians. It does not give medical advice.
Transactional messages. We send account, security, scheduling, and appointment messages, for ourselves and on the Practice’s behalf. These are part of the Services.
Text messages. If you opt in, we will send appointment reminders and account updates by text. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Consent to texts is not required to use the Services or receive care. We never share your mobile number for marketing.
Not encrypted. Standard text messages and email are not encrypted and could be read by others. We use them only for non-clinical information. Detailed health information is shared only through the secure patient app.
Marketing. We send marketing messages only with your separate consent, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
8. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how Meddy collects, uses, and shares information that is not part of your medical care. Health information you share when you request a consultation, and all health information you share as a patient, is protected health information of the Practice, and Meddy handles it only on the Practice’s behalf as its business associate under HIPAA. The Practice’s Notice of Privacy Practices describes how that information is used and your rights over it.
9. Third-party services and app stores
Third-party services. Some features rely on services we do not control, such as video visits through Google Meet, payment processing by the Practice’s payment processor, and wearable devices or health apps you choose to connect. Their own terms and privacy policies also apply, and we are not responsible for them.
App stores. If you download the Meddy app from the Apple App Store or Google Play, these Terms are between you and Meddy, not Apple or Google, and Meddy alone is responsible for the app. Apple and Google have no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. Your use of the app must also comply with the app store’s terms. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
10. Meddy’s intellectual property
The Meddy name, logos, website, app, software, design, and general educational content belong to Meddy Health LLC or its licensors. We give you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Services for your own personal and health care purposes while you follow these Terms. You may not copy, modify, sell, or redistribute any part of the Services.
Your medical records and the clinical content of your care belong to the Practice, and your rights to them are described in the Practice’s Notice of Privacy Practices.
11. Content and feedback you submit
Information you enter as a patient becomes part of your medical record with the Practice. You allow Meddy to use it only to provide the Services and as described in our Privacy Policy and, for patients, the Practice’s Notice of Privacy Practices.
If you send us suggestions or feedback about the Services, we may use them to improve the Services without any obligation to you. We will not use your health information to do so except as HIPAA and the Practice’s Business Associate Agreement allow.
We may use de-identified information, which cannot be used to identify you, to improve the Services, including to develop and train our own analytics and artificial intelligence models.
12. Changes and availability
We may update, change, or discontinue features of the Services. The Services may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance or technical problems. If an outage affects a scheduled visit, the Practice will reschedule it or arrange another way to reach you.
13. Disclaimers
Except as stated in these Terms, the website, app, and general content are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent permitted by law, Meddy disclaims all other warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not promise that the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Nothing in these Terms limits the Practice’s or its clinicians’ responsibility for the medical care you receive, or any rights you have that cannot be waived under applicable law.
14. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Meddy is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost profits or income, arising from your use of the website, app, or other Services. Meddy’s total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the Services is limited to $100. These limits do not apply to Meddy’s gross negligence, willful misconduct, or fraud, or where the law does not allow them.
15. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to reimburse Meddy for reasonable losses and costs, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising from third-party claims caused by your violation of these Terms or misuse of the Services.
16. Termination
You may stop using the Services and close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously violate these Terms or if required by law. If you are a patient, closing your Meddy account does not end your membership or care with the Practice, which are governed by the Practice’s Patient Terms of Service, and does not delete medical records the Practice must keep by law. Sections 10, 11, and 13 through 17 survive termination.
17. Disputes, arbitration, and class action waiver
Try to resolve it with us first. Before starting any arbitration or court case, contact us at support@getmeddyhealth.com with a description of the dispute. You and Meddy agree to try in good faith to resolve it within 30 days.
Individual arbitration. If the dispute is not resolved, you and Meddy agree that any dispute arising from these Terms or the Services will be resolved by binding arbitration on an individual basis, administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. The arbitration will take place in New York County, New York, or by video or phone if you prefer. Meddy will pay any filing and administrative fees beyond what you would pay to file a case in court, as those rules provide. The arbitrator may award the same individual relief a court could.
What is not covered. Either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court if it qualifies. Either party may ask a court to stop infringement or misuse of its intellectual property. This Section does not cover claims about medical care or medical services provided by the Practice, which are governed by the Practice’s Patient Terms of Service and applicable law.
No class actions. You and Meddy may bring claims only on an individual basis, not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective, consolidated, or representative action. The arbitrator may not combine claims of more than one person. If this class action waiver is found unenforceable for a particular claim, that claim will proceed in court, and the arbitration agreement will not apply to it.
Mass filings. If 25 or more similar arbitration demands are filed against Meddy by or with the help of the same law firm or coordinated group, they will be handled in batches of up to 25 demands at a time, with the rest held until earlier batches are resolved. Fees will be charged per batch where the arbitration rules allow, and the time limits for the held claims will be paused while they wait.
Your right to opt out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing support@getmeddyhealth.com within 30 days after you first accept these Terms, with your name and a statement that you are opting out of arbitration. Opting out does not affect the rest of these Terms.
Changes to this Section. If we change this Section, the change will not apply to a dispute that arose before it, and you may reject the change by notifying us within 30 days.
Governing law and venue. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this Section. Otherwise, these Terms are governed by New York law. Any claim that proceeds in court will be brought in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York.
18. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will post the updated Terms with a new effective date and notify you in the app or by email at least 30 days before material changes take effect. If you continue to use the Services after that, the updated Terms apply. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
